The CAC Triathlon Club is looking for a few dedicated and motivated coaches who specialize in one or more disciplines related to the endurance and multisport community (swimming, cycling, running, and strength training).

We are currently looking to hire 2-4 new coaches to help our training team members and social club members perform their best in 2022.  We are actively searching for:

  • Swim coaches
  • Cycling coaches
  • Run coaches
  • Strength trainers


Duties may include (but not limited to):

  • Coaching 1-2 group sessions during the training season (est. March – September, 2022)
  • Coaching sessions early in the morning (6-7am) and on weekends
  • Attending events and races during weekends
  • Organizing and leading group rides, runs, and/or open water swims during the season (mornings, evenings, weekends as necessary or based on schedule availability)
  • Substituting for one or more coaches during the year
  • Creating training plans
  • Attending weekly/monthly coaches meeting
  • Attending monthly social events and/or education events
  • Being available for private, 1-on-1 training
  • Creating off-season and/or pre-season small group training programs


Candidate Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold at least one of the following certifications (or equivalent):
    • USA Triathlon
    • Ironman University
    • USA Swimming
    • US Masters Swimming
    • USA Cycling
    • USA T&F
    • RRCA Certified Running Coach
    • Accredited Personal Training Certification (NASM, ISSA, ACE, etc)
  • Must have familiarity with the sport coached (i.e. prior participant - H.S., College, Age Group, etc)
  • Must have coached at least 1 athlete in the sport


Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • All of the above, plus
  • 1 or more years experience coaching athletes in the sport
  • 2 or more certifications listed above
  • Comfortable leading group training/have experience in group training sessions (experience not necessary/required, but a plus)
  • Sincere passion for endurance sports and multisport
  • Ability to work weekends and travel to events
  • Willingness to cover classes and organize group events
  • Are attentive, respectful, and compassionate to other coaches and team members
