Summary

The Group Human Resources Director is a member of the HR team reporting to the Corporate Director of Human Resources with dotted line support to a Group President. This position will be leading a Business Unit from an HR perspective with core business goals and initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting a Business Unit with workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development, coaching, counseling, policy interpretation, employee relations, and workforce metrics/analytics.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  1. Promotes the Company’s mission and values based culture through effective management of human capital.
  2. Manages divisional HR functions across multi-locations to support talent recruitment and retention, interviewing, hiring, orientation and onboarding, performance review, and safety processes.
  3. Manages HRIS system, implementation, and training.
  4. Manages multi-site specific employee communications, training, and communityrelations initiatives.
  5. Manages personnel processes and documentation for hires, promotions,transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for reporting purposes.
  6. Promotes a diverse and collaborative workforce and enforces non-discrimination policies.
  7. Advises management in appropriate practices including resolution of employee relations issues.
  8. Manages Business Unit and site-specific policies, procedures, and programs.
  9. Manages employee benefits across multi-site locations including advisement onprograms such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401(k) program, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
  10. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation and conductsexit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  11. Coordinates employee safety committee and facilitates monthly meetings and metrics.
  12. Provides required OSHA and other required site-specific training to employees.
  13. Travel to manufacturing facilities is required to oversee on-site HR functions atmultiple locations.
  14. May supervise other employees and be responsible for the overall direction,coordination and evaluation of this unit.
  15. Coordinates with Corporate HR to promote standardized practices and implement KPIs across multi-divisional locations and collaborates with assigned business unit management team(s) for relevant HR practices, trends, and metrics.
  16. Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the human resources field (preferably partnering with a Business Unit in a matrix organization), must have multi-site manufacturing facility experience, and possess at least a bachelor’s degree.

Travel

  • Travel required to various facilities in the division to implement and oversee Human Resource policies, procedures, goals and objectives.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
