Description

The recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening, hiring of field staff positions, including full-time, part-time, long and short term roles. This position must possess skills in candidate sourcing, interviewing techniques, knowledge of all positions and functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Masters recruiting strategies and techniques created to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting resources and tools.

  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), and reference/background checking, makes recommendations regarding hiring decisions for full-time field staff.

  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as job boards, social media, career fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, non-compete agreements, credentialing packets).

  • Assists candidates through application process.

  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

  • Ensures compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This position is full-time.

  • Typical workdays are Monday through Friday and the hours are flexible.

 

Work Environment

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment. This role routinely uses equipment such as computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners.   

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

 

Travel

  • Requires up to 5-10% travel

Qualifications

Preferred Experience and/or Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources.
  • HRIS experience.
  • Recruiting experience.
