Company & Position Summary

Location:  Lewiston and Winona Facilities

Shift/Hours: Core office hours, Mondays-Fridays, 8:00am-4:00pm. This position primarily works day hours, with the ability to flex work hours to support all shifts and business needs required.

Remote:  This position is required to work onsite every day for the first 90-days.  After 90-days, this position can work remote 1 day of each work week.  4 days of each work week is required to work onsite.  

Position Status: Full-Time

The Team:
This position is a part of the Organizational Excellence department.  The Organizational Excellence department is a cross-functional team responsible for identifying, suggesting and implementing continuous improvement projects and sustaining established processes for the entire organization.  The department is responsible for the Quality Management System and Lean initiatives.   As part of the team you will be required to learn the processes of all  RiverSide Integrated Solutions segments and interact with all coworkers. 

 

The Role: 
The Project Coordinator is responsible for working with all coworkers to identify, lead and deploy continuous improvement ideas, support Lean strategies and drive corrective action improvement for the entire organization. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

You will spend your time:

  • Leading projects with business process owners to address continuous improvement opportunities, training, and corrective/preventative actions related to production, materials, safety, or quality.

  • Documenting findings from identified opportunities and prepare recommendations for the implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.

  • Suggesting, developing, or implementing programs/projects to address opportunities related to production, materials, safety, or quality.

  • Preparing, reviewing, and publishing project reports per the established schedule to Senior Management.

  • Learning and using Lean principles, business process/risk assessments, project management & meeting facilitation techniques, executing Kaizen/Gemba events, while adhering to standard work practices and procedures.

  • Completing effectiveness reviews with interested parties to ensure the success of newly implemented systems or procedures.

  • Assisting in the effective deployment of continuous improvement projects, facilitating and executing Kaizen/Gemba events, and the systemic improvement of standard work practices and procedures.

  • Partnering with business process owners to implement corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability.

  • Participating in internal and external audits.  Training to become a certified internal auditor within one year of hire.

  • Other work responsibilities as necessary.

 

We are excited about you if you have:

  • Associate degree preferred or five plus years of equivalent work experience in manufacturing.  

  • Experience in continuous improvement efforts in a plant manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision, while being an effective team player.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines as well as flexibility to adapt to change with new systems and methods

  • ISO 9001, 13485 or 40001 experience preferred.

  • Passion for learning and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to use a variety of technology and software, such as EPICOR, IQS, Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom

  • Attention to detail

  • Auditing experience a plus

  • Enjoy creating /validating software capabilities

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to teach and work with others

 

Work Environment:  Manufacturing setting and Office setting

 

Travel:

  • This position will travel between the RiverSide Lewiston and Winona facilities.

  • Infrequent travel for training and/or business needs may be required.

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling
