Summary/Objective:

The Assistant Technical Director for Ministries & Events (ATDME) will assist, lead, and support in various production (AVL) areas for Southeast Christian Church and School (primarily Family, Adult and School ministries). The ATDME will work within a high-level production team to create an engaging environment that points people to Jesus through the effective use of various production systems (Lighting, camera ops, video director, audio).



Time Requirements:

This position will be completed in 40+ hours per week. This position will require flexibility as there will be weekdays, weekends, evenings and holiday time expectations that vary through the weeks.

This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, desktop computers and telephones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to sit and/or stand for sustained periods of time; lift, push, pull items in excess of 30 lbs; walk and reach with hands and arms.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

  1. Support and create high-end, distraction-free experiences and events for Family Ministries, Adult Ministries, and Southeast School through the use of various production systems (Lighting, camera ops, video director, audio).
  2. Collaborate and work with the Technical Director, Family Ministries, Adult Ministries, and Southeast School staff on a regular basis.
  3. Manage and coordinate AV Event Calendar including system resources, volunteer training, staffing, and operation.
  4. Communicate regularly with the Guest Services and Events Department in regard to room scheduling, AVL system requests, AVL Tech requests, etc.
  5. Oversee set up, operation, and follow through of production needs for all Southeast Christian School chapels, performances, and graduations.
  6. Oversee set up, operation, and follow through of production needs for all Family and Adult Ministries rehearsals, services, classes, and events.
  7. Ensure technical aspects for weekend events are programmed, prepared, and operating properly.
  8. Coordinate maintenance and repair of all AV systems outside the Worship Center. Ensure all AV systems are in continual working order (i.e. equipment is operating properly and stocked with appropriate necessities such as adapters, audio cabling, extension cords, etc.).
  9. Work as part of Southeast’s Production team to keep equipment up-to-date with current advancements in both technology and trends.
  10. Recruit, schedule, and train volunteers to serve on the Audio, Video, and Lighting team, especially within Family and Adult Ministries.
  11. Support and assist AVL needs, including setup of audio/visual equipment for events and regular gatherings for all other ministry teams in various locations throughout the campus as needed.
  12. Perform other duties, as needed.

Requirements:


Professional/Education

  1. Ability to manage confidentiality in all aspects of job.
  2. 2+ years of technical experience in lighting programming and design in a variety of live production environments preferred.
  3. 3+ years of technical experience in audio/video preferred.
  4. Familiarity with Highend Systems Full Boar 4 & Vista by ChromaQ lighting systems preferred.
  5. Experience with LED Video Walls (Absen) & Media servers (Green Hippo) preferred.
  6. Strong computer skills.
