SUMMARY:

This position oversees and manages our network, VOIP/SIP and information security systems, along with shared management of datacenter systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete ownership from top to bottom management of core network hardware (Cisco/Nexus), firewalls (Palo Alto), wireless networking (Aerohive), SIP gateways (Cisco CUBE), CUCM, Expressway, Unity, Livevox, hosted call center, call flow, caller ID management, multiple internet and MPLS circuits, vendor contracts, upgrades, maintenance, installation, etc.

Learn about and integrate bleeding-edge technologies into our new and existing applications and connectivity.

Partner with other members of the team for shared responsibility of security products ad servers, such as SIEM, NIDS, and HIDS.

Ensure the availability, stability, and security of the network/telephony environments by designing highly available/fault tolerant systems in accordance with traditional and cutting-edge disaster recovery and information security principals.

Manage and partner with other team members in the implementation of projects that include connectivity to third party vendors and/or cloud-based technologies, Help Desk, server administration, datacenter services (Nutanix, VMware, etc.)

LOCATION

               This is a hybrid position that is partially is at our Corporate Office in Rock Hill, SC and working remotely.

 

       

 

Experience, Education and More

          EXPERIENCE

           Must be local to the area and be able to work in the office and/or at home. This position will be on-call for serious outages.   

           A deep knowledge of application transport, voice and network infrastructure protocols with at least two years of experience.

           Experience with modern datacenter technologies such as Nutanix, Rubrik, and VMWare along with modern firewall and security                         (NIDS, HIDS, SIEM) products such as Palo Alto, Crowdstrike, Checkpoint, Wazuh, Elastic (ELK) Stack, Owl, etc.

          Cisco certifications in CCNA, CCNP or CCIE and Palo Alto certifications in PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE are a plus, but not required.

          Ability to work autonomously and with other team members.

          A passion for documentation, data security, change management, diagramming, continuous learning, measuring results and learning                  from them, cost control, clear and concise communication (oral and written), building relationships and trust with team members and                  efficient time management.

 

          EDUCATION

          Demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities through three (3) years of previous work and/or bachelor’s degree in Computer               Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. Demonstrated understanding and implementation of networking security and data             protection.

 

           LANGUAGE SKILLS

          Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence;                            Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the                     organization. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff.

     

           MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

          Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. As well as               the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

 

 

        REASONING ABILITY

        Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. As well as the ability to              deal with   problems involving concrete (real or tangible) variables in standardized situations. Must come to work mentally prepared                   for emotional challenges and  have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

 

       OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

       Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to teach employees how to utilize the                     company technology along with the ability to manage several projects at one time; Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings;             Advanced knowledge of  company supported applications; Ability to learn and support new applications. Skill in organizing resources and          establishing priorities.

 

        CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

        Knowledge of PC repairs on the level of A+ certification and all other requirements mandated by company management.
