Kids in the Game is dedicated to developing New York City’s youth by providing opportunities through sports and fitness to the schools and communities we serve. Our goal is to develop the next generation of leaders by developing healthy habits, an active lifestyle, and promoting personal growth through play and competition. During the school year, KING is rooted in dozens of schools around New York City, offering recess, after-school, physical education, early drop off fitness, creative movement and sports instruction.


Kids in the Game is looking for a Sports Video Marketing Intern to join our Community & Impact and Athletics Teams to gather and create content for our sports programs. You will have a key role in developing and implementing video marketing strategies -- no idea is too crazy! As a Sports Video Marketing Intern, you will collaborate with our Athletic Coordinator to collect content from our KING Speed, KING FC, and KING Hoops sports programs. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our Kids in the Game marketing channels, as well as provide personalized content to our student athletes. This internship will help you acquire content creation skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain valuable experience in video editing and marketing, and should be prepared to enter any fast paced work environment. Not to mention, you’ll be contributing to a supportive, safe, and fun environment for kids to grow and learn while experiencing non-stop fun!


Spring Dates: April 3- June 30th

Summer Dates: June 5th-September 8th 



At Kids in the Game, we strive to be the best part of every kid’s day! As a Sports Video Marketing Intern, you’ll be reporting directly to the Athletics Coordinator to help showcase our programs, partnerships, and communities through video content. You will also be supporting our individual athletes to help them further their athletic and educational careers through video highlight reels. At the end of the day, you’ll be able to participate in company wide staff events where you can mingle with staff from all of our programs across the city, hang-out, and unwind! As a Sports Video Marketing Intern, you can expect to: Attend practices, events, and games for all sports programs at Kids in the Game including KING Speed, KING FC, and KING Hoops Travel with the KING Hoops team to their weekend tournaments Prepare promotional presentations for each sports program Create and finalize highlight reels for individual participants Collect photo and video content across all Kids in the Game programs Edit video and photo content to create polished advertisements and highlight reels



Our ideal candidate would meet some or all of the following qualifications:

  • A current college student or recent college graduate looking to gain valuable sports advertising and marketing experience in a rapidly growing startup environment
  • Previous video creation & editing experience at a small-mid sized company (internship, volunteer, part time job)
  • Excellent email & interpersonal communication
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to multitask
  • Eye for design and understanding of our brand aesthetic is a plus
  • Be able to commit to working 20-25 hours per week during evenings and weekends from mid-April to mid-July 2023
