Description

The Data and Grants Assistant performs tasks integral to supporting data and grant management at Chrysalis, as well as other departments, with respect to implementing grant agreements and associated programs. This position will have the client, staff, partner agencies, and funder interactions. This is a fast-paced function of the department that requires exceptional organizational skills, extensive multi-tasking across different projects, as well as seamless coordination of shared duties with colleagues and partner agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Grants & Contracts

  • Facilitate grant enrollment and maintain tracking systems in Excel to meet contract obligations including presenting to clients at orientation, verifying eligibility, and complete contract required documentation
  • Maintain databases, including case management databases required by Chrysalis and funders (Service Point, Salesforce, CalJobs, etc.), and participant files to ensure that all data and information is timely and accurate
  • Perform surveys with clients to fulfill grant requirements
  • Communicate and work closely with external stakeholders and partners

General Duties

  • Adhere to all Chrysalis policies and procedures
  • Support the Chrysalis Mission and adhere to the Chrysalis Code of Ethics
  • Assist Strategy & External Relations as well as other  departments with data and grants management tasks as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent  
  • 1-2 years administrative experience preferred  
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and the ability to make decisions independently and in collaboration with staff across departments and external partners
  • Self-starter with “can do” attitude and initiative
  • Computer literacy required. Must be proficient in Internet research, Word, and Excel and be willing to learn other applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interact with clients, customers and colleagues with diplomacy and tact
  • Maintain confidential information and exercise discretion
  • Commitment to addressing the needs of low-income people
  • Car, valid driver’s license and insurance required
  • Successful candidate may be required to submit to a National Criminal History Background Check (paid by Chrysalis)
