Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift, Mondays-Thursdays, 3:00 pm - 1:00 am
Position Status: Full-Time

The Team: 
This role is a part of the production team. The team works with the scheduling, materials, and operations teams to accomplish work and provides necessary components to further processing.


The Role: 
Rework requires above average soldering abilities and sound reasoning capabilities.  However, personnel who have no soldering skills, but possess a good level of visual acuity, manual dexterity, and sound reasoning capability, often can be successfully trained.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are excited if you have:

  • Ability to read Manufacturing Instructions (MI) to determine specifications, rework procedures according to IPC 7711/7721
  • Ability to assess and decide which rework procedure to use with minimum impact on end use functionality or reliability 
  • Determine if assemblies need rework or if they are meeting IPC-A-610 acceptability and do not require rework
  • Patience in performing quality rework and the ability to inspect your own work thoroughly with attention to detail
  • Achieve above average score for yearly company training courses and hands on Inspection and Soldering Evaluation
  • Use computers and computer software for training, entering data, or process information
  • Escalate concerns to mentors or leader, initiate shutdown process if required
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work in stressful conditions occasionally
  • Monitor Rework equipment to maintain performance of equipment
  • Act as a mentor for solder/inspection coworkers


Physical Demands: 

  • Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials (0-10 lbs.) up to 50% of time worked
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-30 pounds, chest height up to 5% of time worked. 
  • Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking 
  • Requires repetitive movement, fine motor skills, sitting and standing, and vision to use microscope and/or ring magnifier.
