Role Description

The Assistant Controller partners with the Controller to steward financial assets for maximum Kingdom impact in establishing, monitoring and enforcing financial policies, procedures, controls, and transaction-processing operations for Cherry Hills Community Church. The Assistant Controller supports the Accounting team in providing world-class support, resourcing front-line ministries to function effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant designation
  • Preference will be given to candidates with nonprofit accounting experience
  • Public Accounting experience with nonprofit clients is preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Sage Inaact preferred
