Position Description:
Develop, manage, and promote Safety Execution Plan for project / turnaround events as per the client’s safety polices and safe work practices. Team lead over Safety Coordinators.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development of a Safety Execution Plan that promotes safe work practices and includes such activities as monitoring, correcting, and documenting safe and unsafe work practices. In particular:
Administrative
- Fully comply with client work schedule
- Understand client’s expectations and deliverables
- Interface with all on-site departments, as required
- Adhere to Onpoint’s home office reporting requirements as per policy
Technical
- Develop Safety Execution Plan that promotes safe work practices as per owner’s safety policies and safe work practices.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating activities assigned to the Safety Coordinators
- Lead and participate in daily safety meetings
- Schedule and perform field safety audits and monitor work performance for safety compliance.
- Lead investigations of “Near-Miss” and Accidents
- Take corrective actions when and where needed to correct safety issues that are non-compliance with safety policies and practices.
- Coordinate and promote “Safety Awareness” effort and safety incentive program
- Maintain a log and document audit results, “Near Misses”, accidents, safety meetings and topics, and any corrective actions taken to correct an unsafe condition or work practice.
- Communicate with Management and Supervisors audit results and corrective actions taken
- Must be knowledgeable of the owner’s safety polices and safe work practices
