SUMMARY

In accordance with RNP’s Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, disseminates information to clients and assists operations at the clinic by performing the following duties: 

The Center for Human Services(CHS) located in Stratford, Connecticut is a CARF accredited, Department of Public Health licensed, medication-assisted treatment program for opiate addicted persons utilizing prescribed methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone, and supportive counseling in conjunction with other support and referral services. The persons served attend individual counseling to address drug use/abuse, personal/family, employment, health, and legal issues. Group and family counseling, in addition to intensive outpatient services are offered to those who voluntarily seek additional support. Clients at CHS also have access to psychiatric care.

Hours

Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 7:00pm & Saturday 6:00am - 11:00am

 

CORE FUNCTIONS 

• Works closely with CHS and KTC staff to communicate client information.

• Responsible for unsupervised urines upon return of absent client.

• Informs clients of appropriate and inappropriate behavior in medicating line and alerts staff when necessary.

• Distributes client memos from in-house staff when necessary.

• Performs data entry.

• Responsible for working closely with Director of Network Management to obtain pictures of all new clients and making sure these are placed in computer properly.

• Responsible for checking client into computer and correctly matching client to identification before sending client to window for medication.

• Responsible for placing all holds for clients in the computer system.

• Responsible for answering all phone calls when receptionist is unavailable.

• Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

 

Qualifications

CORE COMPETENCIES

High School diploma or general education degree (GED), AS Degree or one year of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bilingual Spanish Strongly Preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out written or oral instructions, short correspondence and memo.
  • Ability to write and/or enter correspondence into log or computer. 
  • Considerable knowledge of federal and state laws regarding client confidentiality. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to project a professional image.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Windows.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES  

Valid Connecticut driver’s license is required.
