Position Overview

Members of our Facilities Crew work closely with the Facility Services Manager and their team members together to upkeep and prepare our buildings and grounds for our shows, events, and patron functions.     


Principal Responsibilities  (Essential Functions)

  • Work as a team to maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere for all staff and patrons, including but not limited to:  cleaning offices, breakrooms, lobbies, event spaces, bathrooms, and floors, as well as regular refuse collection and disposal.
  • Execute the set-up & break-down of items needed in public spaces & events, such as couches, tables, chairs, trash & recycling receptacles, and other items as requested.
  • Assist with various requests from the Facility Services Manager, other facilities crew members, and coworkers from other departments as needed.
  • Transport packages delivered to WAC / AMP to various locations around the campus.
  • Maintain security and safety requirements as defined by operations guidelines. 
  • Provide support to groundskeeper and gardener as needed to maintain exterior standards of cleanliness.
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks and special projects as requested.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with teammates, fellow staff members from other departments, vendors, patrons, and tenants of leased spaces.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education, Training, Traits

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking
  • Experience and knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Clear written and spoken communications skills between patrons, team members, and coworkers from other departments is essential
  • Ability to interact and get along with many different types of people
  • An on-going desire to learn and improve
  • Able to work in large, crowded environments, with loud music, noises, pyrotechnics, and cannons as part of shows and events
  • Flexibility with hours including early mornings, nights and weekends. Occasional overtime will be required
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards


Work Experience

  •    Six months related experience and/or training.

  • Must be able to endure outdoor elements including cold, heat, wind, and/or precipitation
