Position Overview:

Nearpod is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the accounting team.


Our Ideal Candidate will: 

  • Process salaried and hourly payroll timely and accurately per assigned calendar

  • Upload commissions, bonuses, T&E expense reimbursements as assigned

  • Review/process new hires, terminations, other payroll changes as needed

  • Ensure employee deductions are properly processed

  • Run various payroll reports after payroll is completed including the payroll JE files in the proper format so that they can be uploaded to the GL

  • Timely register for payroll taxes as needed in any new states

  • Follow-up timely on any payroll tax notices received from the states and/or payroll provider to ensure all matters are resolved

  • Ensure carrier feeds are executed timely and accurately to all benefits providers

  • Reconcile all benefit related invoices to payroll and follow up on any discrepancies

  • Ensure all 401k deductions, loan repayments, and other data are transmitted to the 401K provider each pay period and that contributions are properly funded

  • Complete all assigned areas related to the 401K annual audit

  • Reconcile H S A and C S A data between payroll and the providers each pay period and ensure the amounts are properly funded

  • Provide data for worker’s comp audits

  • Assist with the annual open enrollment and set-up of benefit deductions as needed

  • Other tasks and reporting as assigned by Accounting and HR


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of high-volume payroll experience

  • Experience with Paycom and/or UKG highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Must be highly professional and able to work with confidential information

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Intermediate level or higher proficiency in Excel or Google sheets
