Description

Being a Girl Scout is about doing. It’s about making friends and exploring the world. It adds up to a one-of-a-kind leadership experience.

Our Girls Go Beyond program serves areas where Girl Scouting may not be a tradition and girls may face financial barriers. This position helps with providing these services.

Specifics include:

  • Using flexibility to facilitate the provided Girl Scout curricula  for program and activities to meet the needs of the specific group of girls .
  • Most programs are scheduled between the hours of 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Facilitators are scheduled for approximately 3 half days/week. Opportunities for substitute facilitators are also available.

Duties also include:

  • Maintain Girl Scout Troop registration, attendance, program evaluation and ensure open and accurate communication in order to fulfill grant requirements.
  • Keep girls safe, encourage them and have fun while learning to be a leader in her own life.
Qualifications

We seek someone with the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for working with girls. This person has a keen commitment to pluralism, the ability to work a flexible schedule and has reliable transportation. Experience in working with groups of children in camps or after-school programs along with working knowledge of Windows Office products is required.

If you have a high level of professionalism, are a self-starter with the ability to work independently and have a desire to provide an atmosphere for growth in which girls will learn and develop, this opportunity may be a great fit.
