Description

Greets and assists consumers, other agencies in person and over telephone with good judgment as to their needs. Assists with data entry, NOMS and obtaining data as delegated by Integrated Health Services Administrator. Obtains patient vitals and history. Entry into Electronic Medical Record. Orders Lab, diagnostic studies and makes referrals. Assists with necessary communication to Residential Care Facility owners for continuation of care. Confers with clinic receptionists scheduling needs/appointments. Performs phlebotomy for patient lab needs. Assists Medical Team. Assist in checking in medication/written scripts as needed; assisting in returning outdated medications to administration. Fill out updated pharmacy order forms (PAP forms). Send schedules to pharmacy daily. Process benefits for eligibility. Processes medical records received and released, if necessary. Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or other management as requested.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years experience as a previous medical assistant.  CMA/RMA (Certified/Registered Medical Assistant) preferred.  Must be able to perform in data entry and possess knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Applications. Valid driver's license required.
