Description

We are seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support our Denver office.  Applicant should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil litigation.

Required skills for this position include: organizational skills, proofreading, technological, legal terminology, calendaring and administrative skills with strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a thorough knowledge of filing/e-filing requirements in all Colorado Courts, including Federal Courts, a solid knowledge of the litigation process, including the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines, and must be able to work independently and with a team.  Applicant should have advanced experience with MS Word, Outlook and Adobe; experience with FileSite/iManage would be a plus but not required.  Applicant must be punctual and dependable.

Job duties include: formatting, proofreading and finalizing all pleadings, discovery and correspondence, processing and scanning incoming mail, ability to maintain professional interaction with clients, attorneys, other office staff, opposing counsel, court reporters and court staff, open, maintain and close case files in accordance with Buchalter procedures, schedule appointments and events in Microsoft Outlook and ensure deadlines are met timely, serve and file pleadings with Colorado State Courts and Federal Courts, serve discovery, and other legal documents, make attorneys’ travel arraignments, prepare expense reimbursements.

Pay Scale: The reasonably expected pay scale for this position is $70-90k.  This is an employer estimate and the salary offered within that range, and the potential for bonus and bonus amount, will depend on candidate’s years of practice, experience and performance.
