Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, gambling addiction and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity, and respect.

This position is 40 hours per week on site, in our Shelton, CT office, reporting to the Talent Management and Retention Manager. The Onboarding & Recruiting Assistant role is highly focused on talent acquisition & onboarding. The Onboarding & Recruiting Assistant will work collaboratively with the HR team, reporting to the Talent Management & Retention Manager, on issues related to the employee life cycle such as recruitment, onboarding, and orientation. The candidate will need a positive can-do attitude, be able to think outside the box and can shift priorities as needed. The Onboarding & Recruiting Assistant will assist in recruiting for clinical, non-clinical and intern positions for the organization.

 

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Employee Onboarding:

  • Preparing offer letters, coordinating all pre-employment requirements including credentialing, background checks, drug-testing, etc., and coordinate new hire orientations.
  • Responsible for the planning, setup and facilitating new hire orientation, ensuring new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization and its culture.
  • Collects and maintains New Hire Orientation feedback.
  • Assist and support certified staff with licensure needs as needed.

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Assist hiring manager’s with maintaining and/or developing job descriptions as needed.
  • Implement and coordinates system-wide sourcing strategies, recruitment and retention activities and advertising.
  • Build relationships with universities and other outside organizations. Work closely with colleges and other partners in regard to career fair opportunities, networking, outreach events and speaking engagements
  • Engage in and enhance social media recruiting. Be a brand ambassador for RNP
  • Identify and utilize a variety of creative recruiting methods to identify the best pool of highly qualified candidates, and effectively partner with internal hiring managers to facilitate recruiting process, including advertisements, screening resumes/applicants scheduling interviews.

 

Human Resources:

  • Assist in fielding all HR calls to assist employees/supervisors with general HR related questions.
  • Have a thorough understanding of RNPs programs, staff, and their roles.
  • Assists in maintaining new performance appraisal process.
  • Assist with succession planning and creating job advancement opportunities within the organization.
  • Performs other related HR duties as required and assigned to support the HR team and organization

 

Qualifications

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Associate degree in Human Resources or Business-related field; bachelor’s preferred
  • Experience working in behavioral healthcare setting preferred
  • Paycom HRIS experience a plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service which includes timely response time, with tact, diplomacy, professionalism, and sensitivity in all interactions
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be able to work independently while maintaining efficient communication with the Talent Management and Retention Manager
  • Bilingual a plus
