Description

The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining the visual composition and lighting style and standards needed to produce highly creative and technically correct video for field and studio production.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions as Videographer for field and studio productions, providing creative and technically correct video recordings.
Directs field productions as required.
Assists with Producers with pre-production.
Functions in any of the positions of a production as assigned, (i.e. Floor Director, Camera, and Teleprompter, etc.).
Maintains flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
Performs other job-related duties as required by VP of Production.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:
•    A minimum of 6 months experience in professional videography
•    Higher education or training in videography is preferred. 
•    Maintains current knowledge and creative edge in operation of television, audio and computer equipment in support of all video production, studio or remote.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Conditions 
WHRO requires that employees working onsite maintain a COVID-19 fully vaccinated status and will be required to provide a copy of their immunization card or certification statement to WHRO’s Human Resources Department. 
The Videographer works in indoors and outdoor environments with various noise levels. 
While performing the duties of this job, the Videographer is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle, or feel computer hardware, or handle production equipment; walk or stand for long periods of time, talk, see and hear. The Videographer must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally may move up to 50 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


Other Physical Requirements
Vision – Must be able to see near and distance while on the job.
Dexterity – Must be able to use hands and fingers to accomplish work related tasks such using cameras, lights and other television production equipment.
Sense of Sound - Must be able to hear office equipment warning signals, electronics and copier/printer machinery.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fraction, and percent’s, decimals, and counting. 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to execute detailed objectives by following written or oral instructions.

Other Skills and Abilities:
The Videographer must be able to work well under pressure and communicate effectively when dealing with employees, manager, equipment problems, or complex situations.
