Position Summary: The APRI Program Coordinator is an “in-person” role that assists the APRI Program Director and Clinical Director in providing oversight for Ryan White program-funded services for HIV-positive clients to include Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA), Medical Nutritional Support, AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Dental Program, Transportation. The Program Coordinator also coordinates services through the Miriam Immunology Center, where they are responsible for conducting programmatic intakes for new APRI HIV-positive clients. Staff also assists in fund raising and community events.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel and other databases.
  • Working knowledge of manipulating, creating, and working in spreadsheets.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft platforms and an Electronic Medical Record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant experience working with the populations on which the position is primarily focused.
  • Familiarity with the concept of social determinants of health, and their relationship with overall wellness. 
  • Must acquire a ServSafe Food Safety Handler Certificate.
  • Ability to become a Certified Community Health Worker within first year of hire.
  • Training as a qualified professional test counselor (QPTC) is highly desirable, with knowledge and experience with testing for HIV and HCV; if not trained, willingness and commitment to be trained and conduct testing as part of overall job function.    
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to LGBTQ+ clients, racial and ethnic minorities, those living with HIV/AIDS and/or substance abuse.
  • Ability to travel to various locations as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required.
  • Ability to work from home (if directed to do so) without endangering the privacy of PHI or HIPPA expectations.
  • Bilingual skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
