Responsibilities:

  • Assist with coordination of the services performed by outside contractors in accordance with all contracts, leases, service agreements and warranties.
  • Assist with supervision of subordinates in a positive and productive manner and assist in safety and Emergency training for other employees.
  • Ensure timely response to requests for service by guests, employees, and management to include repair or replacement of all interior fixtures and furnishings.
  • Maintain all distribution systems for electricity, water, steam, gas, etc.
  • Maintain and operate air conditioning, heating ventilation, and refrigeration system.
  • Keep all records pertaining to preventive maintenance and work order systems and report progress to all interested parties.
  • Schedule all work to be done on a daily basis at a minimum of inconvenience to guests and employees.
  • Conduct continuing inspection of buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with OSHA, fire and safety laws.
  • Respond to all major emergencies and effectively coordinate the saving of lives and assets.
  • Operate the Energy Management System to optimize efficiency of all HVAC systems.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience as Maintenance Engineer in a mid to large size commercial facility. Previous experience in a leadership capacity is a plus.
  • Degree, certification, or training in engineering is a plus.
  • Ability to use general repair tools, read basic drawings and specifications and make rough estimates of required material.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stand and walk frequently.
  • Developed English skills both written and orally.
