Job Summary:

The Athletic Department is offering a seasonal job opportunity in Event Management. These opportunities will consist of working closely with the Middle School Director of Athletics and the Director of Athletics. Candidates for this position must be able to work 1 to 3 evenings a week during the Volleyball and Basketball Season. Work hours range from 2:50pm to 7:00pm.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service, direct leadership, and general supervision of MS athletic events
  • Assists athletic staff with game day set-up
  • Provides Scorekeeping and Clock operation for MS Volleyball and MS Basketball games in the Pumadome
  • Works closely with athletic staff to create game day media materials
  • Assists Athletic Department with creating monthly publications
  • Maintains and operates the proper use of equipment and supplies
  • Enforces facility and equipment rules
  • Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents
  • Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials and facilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Employees are paid the last working day of each month
  • Employees are paid at a rate of $15.00 per hour



Required Education, Training and Experience:

  • Must be High School student
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain valid First Aid/CPR card

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be dependable
  • General knowledge of basketball and/or volleyball league rules and equipment
  • Ability to operate scorebook or scorebook at Middle School completions
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance
  • Sense of humor, energy and enthusiasm and ability to hold students and oneself to high expectations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all levels of faculty and staff
  • Ability to work and communicate well with students and their parents
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Proficient in appropriate computer skills and office equipment
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Awareness of proper body mechanics to prevent injury
  • Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, walk, and talk
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work outside in any weather
  • Some local travel may be required
