Description

Solect Energy is currently seeking a full-time Massachusetts based Sr. Project Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing resources and activities involved in the installation of commercial PV Solar Systems. This is a customer facing position. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of commercial solar experience, superb customer service skills, strong technical and business acumen, and impeccable time-management skills which will enable success across multiple projects simultaneously. The candidate will be a driven, self-starter with a passion for the solar industry and the desire to propel a fast-growing Solar Development firm to regional prominence.  The position requires the ability to manage a large volume of projects while demonstrating excellent professional communication. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is a key to success in this role. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team and participate in the solar (PV) industry from the ground up.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed timeline for all projects.

  • Manage the appropriate resources to ensure projects are completed within scheduled timeframes.

  • Perform regular site visits to track project progress.

  • Manage customer communication and ensure excellent customer experience. Serve as the main point of contact with the customer regarding project progress. 

  • Manage the subcontractors to achieve agreed upon timeframes and quality standards.

  • Manage all aspects of the project schedule from kickoff to closeout.

  • Ensure all processes relative to materials, safety, and job quality are followed during the project.

  • Provide timely project administrative information necessary to meet Solect requirements. 

  • Provide leadership mentoring for site supervisors.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 4 years of commercial solar field experience

  • 3 years of project management experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Successfully managed multiple 500KW projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organized with excellent time-management skills. Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and strong critical thinking skills to solve project issues quickly and effectively

  • Superb customer service skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and work well with the entire Solect team.

  • Strong computer skills and detailed knowledge of G suite, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

  • Valid driver’s license and pristine driving record

  • Preference given to candidates with NABCEP Certification and CSL

  • Willing and capable of climbing ladders, stairs and working on roof tops.
