Description

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission is currently looking for a Support Services Coordinator to join the Men's Recovery Program team at Riverton Place located in Burien, WA.

Seattle's Union Gospel Mission is a private faith-based organization that helps the community to reach out with compassion to those who have lost hope. And as a community, we empower one another to build, lead and give back.

The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for for maintaining and overseeing the safety, maintenance and cleanliness of the Riverton Place facility. The Support Services Coordinator will also support the administrative functions of the Men’s Recovery Program operations at Riverton Place.

Our Men's Recovery team is looking for its newest member and we think that could be you!

 

Shift Schedule
Monday – Friday From 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.  Occasional weekends and holidays.

 

Essential Job Duties

Responsible for organization and maintaining inventory of cleaning/maintenance supplies, clothing, search & rescue supplies, and blankets.

  1. General cleaning duties, which includes cleaning and stocking common areas and bathrooms and cleaning as well as program resident living areas.
  2. Supervise program residents as they perform chores and work therapy to include creation and management of weekly schedule as needed.
  3. Contribute to the overall safety and maintenance of the building by filling out necessary maintenance request forms and reports.
  4. In case of emergency, take lead in following emergency procedures.
  5. Maintain security and records of all assigned facility keys.
  6. Monitor van usage in conjunction with drivers and dispatchers, coordinating schedules.
  7. Train front desk help, ensuring coverage of all shifts, and covering shifts if necessary.
  8. Coordinate work crews, supervising house leaders.
  9. Create, store, distribute, and post all program schedules, forms, and other printed material, assisting staff with other administrative tasks as needed.
  10. Maintain resident accountability through observation, use of choice evaluation, and breathalyzer.
  11. Submit reports as required.
  12. Maintain a positive, pleasant, professional Christian attitude. Work with other staff to forge and model transparent and supportive Christian relationships which will serve as a leadership example for recovery program men.
  13. Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission accepts and encourages the involvement of volunteers at all levels in the organization.   14. Attend and participate in all Mission, Division and Department meetings and training, as required.
  15. Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. The successful candidate will have an active church/prayer life and demonstrate a strong desire to serve the Mission by ministering to those whom it serves.
  2. Must agree with Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission Statement of Faith, Mission and Vision Statements and have a personal ethos and work ethic that reflects the Mission’s Core Values.
  3. Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required.

  5. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment drug and criminal background screenings.
  6. Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License and be able to meet the standards of the Mission driver criteria required, including but not limited to:
    1. Clean driving record
    2. No current suspensions or revocations
    3. At least 21 years of age
  7. Positive, professional, and flexible attitude required.
  8. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment required.
  9. Attention to detail and ability to follow-through required.
  10. Basic cleaning and sanitizing skills required.
  11. Microsoft Word and Outlook proficiency required.

Physical Requirements

  1. Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or reach.
  2. Ability to lift at least 75 lbs and ability to walk multiple flights of stairs carrying at least 25 lbs required.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience
Previous Operations (facility maintenance/management) experience preferred. Seeking person proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
