QUALIFICATIONS

Must know, use, and follow all DOT safety regulations. Must be able to read and fill out all forms of paperwork used by Dircks Moving Services. Must have set of basic tools and be able to do basic furniture or equipment assembly. Must have knowledge of furniture and equipment handling industry-accepted procedures. Must know and use generally accepted industry practices for vehicle housekeeping.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License, maintain a passing DOT physical and maintain a clean MVR per Dircks insurance carrier guidelines.[SP1]
COMMUNICATION
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak English effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Must be able to clearly communicate with customers, vendors and employees of Dircks Moving Services

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high temperatures; wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
