Job Summary: Responsible for working with the Account Executive, Broker, and Producer in the marketing, servicing, and management of insurance coverages for a complex book of clients in the healthcare sector. The Senior Account Manager contributes to CAC Specialty Healthcare business successes in the areas of client satisfaction and retention while enhancing our unique approach to providing risk solutions to its clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling of day-to-day client servicing & inquiries including, but not limited to:
  • Maintaining record of expiration dates on assigned accounts and coordinating with the CAC client team on new/renewal handling
  • Processing and invoicing endorsements/audits, including follow-up to carrier as needed
  • Handling ad hoc client requests for certificates, auto id cards, endorsements
  • Responsible for all account service functions from the start of the renewal process including, but not limited to: 
    • Discussing internal/external renewal strategy meeting with Account Executive
  • Obtaining necessary renewal materials from incumbent / new insurance carriers including, but not limited to, any applications and supplemental information required for underwriting purposes (e.g., audited financial statements, organizational charts, etc.)
  • Requesting renewal data from the client, while managing renewal deadline, continuing to follow-up for those needed submission materials
  • Once client renewal data is received, reviewing data received for changes, coordinating renewal submission materials for distribution to insurance carriers / underwriters
  • Coordinating the schedule for group and individual meetings between the client and insurers
  • Requesting loss runs and preparing loss summaries
  • Creation of client presentations, proposals, and renewal summaries
  • Providing support to CAC client team in obtaining insurance carrier quotes and binders, sharing insurance carrier quotes and binders with excess markets, and reviewing insurance carrier quotes and binders for accuracy
  • Binding of insurance programs by sending bind orders to each market, ensuring confirmation of binding from the carriers
  • Ensuring excess markets are in receipt of all underlying binders
  • Following up with client on subjectivity requests from insurance carriers
  • Ensuring completion of internal/external surplus lines requirements, i.e. due diligence and any applicable paperwork needed for requisite filings
  • Obtaining premium financing quotes as necessary
  • Completing invoices and sending to client
  • Follow up on policy issuance with each carrier included on the client’s insurance program
  • Performing policy reviews by conducting the initial policy review. 
  • Forwarding all policies to client upon completion of review process in the manner designated by the client (e.g., electronic, paper file, etc.)
  • Manage the certificate and auto ID card renewal process with clients to determine requirements, ensuring timely and accurate issuance
  • Responsible for new client set-up including, but not limited to: 
    • Epic and Sharefile set-up
    • Obtaining information from client and copies of policies from carriers
    • Requesting and reviewing prior broker’s Schedule of Insurance, recreate from CAC
    • Requesting and reviewing certificate copies, populating into Excel format, updating as needed and importing into eCerts system
  • Maintain and manage open items listings with clients and team
  • Establish and maintain a good business relationship with clients, insurance carriers and CAC Specialty colleagues 
  • Other duties as assigned which may include administrative duties related to meeting coordination, events, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; substantial work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years of relevant commercial insurance work experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • State specific license is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage assigned duties with independent decision-making authority
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player mentality with a proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Strong multitasking, attention to detail & time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Epic and eCerts experience preferred

Salary: $70,000-$90,000 depending on experience with bonus opportunity and competitive benefits package
