Limited Duration: 3-month commitment with the possibility for extension.
The Mobile Clinic Driver contributes to the calling of Medical Teams International by efficiently, effectively, and safely operating a Mobile Clinic Van, providing assistance with clinic set-up and breakdown, as well as systems support and troubleshooting during assigned clinic days in their specified region of responsibility.

  • Prep vehicle for clinic.
  • Complete daily vehicle pre-check when arriving at vehicle storage location.
  • Fill out Safety Action Forms as needed and filed with appropriate department.
  • Drive to clinic site and ensure that vehicle is working for clinic safety and security.
  • Set up the van and additional equipment, including but not limited to power or generator, internal van lights and WIFI, tents, and tables.
  • Remain onsite throughout the clinic to provide vehicle, generator, and facility support as needed, in coordination with Fleet Manager and vendor/repair partner.
  • Provide organizational support with setting out cones and assisting with set-up for drive through or social distancing components throughout the day.
  • Upon completion of clinic, provide assistance with breakdown, including but not limited to power or generator, internal van lights, WIFI, tents, tables, chairs, and secure all loose supplies within the vehicle.
  • Coordinate with Program Manager and Fleet Manager regarding vehicle issues and emergencies, as needed. This may include trouble shooting WiFi issues, in coordination with IS.
  • Check fuel levels for engine and generator and re-fill prior to returning to storage location, as needed.
  • Return vehicle to storage location, plug vehicle into electrical power, turn on appropriate breakers for overnight storage, and complete post-trip check.
  • Restock supplies onboard mobile clinic vehicle.
  • Empty gray water tank daily.
  • Support safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies.
  • Be a positive representative of Medical Teams International at all times.
  • Utilize volunteers whenever possible.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, LICENSES, & CERTIFICATIONS                                                                                                                                         
  • High school diploma.
  • Valid Driver License with few or no traffic violations.
  • Valid CDL.
  • Minimum two years’ working experience driving busses, motorhomes, or similar vehicles.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Experience trouble shooting generators.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, to include overnight stays within the Pacific Northwest (WA, OR, ID).
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time when supporting remote COVID testing clinics. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time when supporting clinics within metro area of home.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS                                                                                                                    
Tools and Equipment Used:
  • Requires use of personal computer, including word processing, email, database programs, telephone, vehicle, and generator.
  • Working knowledge and dexterity to use hand tools for minor repairs and troubleshooting vehicle, coach, and dental/medical equipment issues.
