The Worship Leader leads worship in Sunday services, leads and oversees NextGen worship, and partners with the Worship Pastor to design and execute high impact services that connect people to the power and presence of Jesus.

Responsibilities

Lead Sunday Services Worship

  • Work with the Worship Pastor to maintain weekly worship brand and weekend expectations
  • Lead in Worship Center Sunday services 24-26 weekends a year
  • Lead in Next Gen worship services 24-26 weekends a year
  • Maintain the high standard of preparation and expectation: This means being fully prepared and doing everything possible to help others be prepared
  • Provide spiritual leadership through life, worship and communication
  • Support Worship Pastor in leading vocalists to produce a consistent brand of music and worship with consistency of vibe, song selection, quality, sound, mix, etc.

Lead, Develop and Manage NextGen Worship Experience

  • Recruit, onboard and develop students to participate in NextGen worship
  • Design high-impact, compelling NextGen worship experiences in support of the Worship Pastor’s overall vision
  • Shepherd and care for NextGen worship students
  • Ownership of Planning Center for NextGen worship services (e.g., scheduling, assigning parts, adding rehearsal tracks)

Assist the Worship Pastor in Recruiting, Developing and Equipping a Dynamic, High-Energy Worship Vocalist Team

  • Build a culture defined by love and unity
  • Cast vision regularly for the Worship team by sharing stories and celebrating wins
  • Assist in training and developing volunteers through training nights
  • Support Worship Pastor in auditioning and mentoring vocalists
  • Provide consistent coaching and feedback to vocalists

Assist in Designing Services and Setting Programming Goals

Drive for Ministry Excellence and Improvement

  • Research current worship trends and learn from other leaders
  • Evaluate services on a regular basis and mine learnings for ongoing growth
  • Identify and implement steps to take worship to the next level
  • Active growth in understanding the theology of biblical worship

Contribute to Original Music Content Creation Through Songwriting and Recording

  • Help cultivate a thriving and consistent songwriting culture
  • Assist in recording vocals and/or instruments as needed

Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone or Email)

  • Manage email, voicemail and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner
  • Build trust by maintaining confidence of information
  • Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion and a service orientation

Serve as a Fantastic Teammate to Peers

  • Pursue and uphold relational unity with teammates
  • Make assists for teammates to facilitate church-wide wins
  • Place the team agenda before your own agenda

POSITION TYPE: Full Time, Exempt

Hours Per week: 40 Hours

Salary range: $50,202 - $75,302 Salary / Year

Qualifications

  • Relational and team building skills required
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to play an instrument (e.g., piano, guitar)
  • Basic understanding of Ableton
  • Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation and vocal arrangements in live and studio spaces
  • Knowledge and understanding of Planning Center Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Understanding of the Nashville Number System
  • Must have songwriting experience
