Position Type:  Part-Time Non-Exempt 15 hours a week

Purpose: To be the main leader/equipper and shepherd for our Bible Study offerings and Bible Study Leaders.  This role would be crucial in helping the women of Perimeter grow in their understanding and love of God’s word and ability to study on their own.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Bible Study at least once a year for our women that equips them in how to study God’s word.  This could be done on your own or with others.  Ideally, as time goes on, you would foster a team of women to do this together, not only for our women to experience different voices/styles but also as a way to invest in/equip and deploy others to use their gifts for the blessing of the church.
  • Recruiting and envisioning new bible study leaders both for morning and evening studies.
  • Training and developing bible study leaders to not only teach and equip women to study and love God’s word but also how to foster community and growth to maturity.
  • Partner with our Women’s Ministries Coordinator to offer a newcomer’s bible study once a year. 
  • Engage leaders and lead them as they select Bible Study Material, ensuring they line up with sound teaching.  Support them as they lead groups. 
  • Participate in the TGC Bible Study cohort or class for equipping.
  • Shepherding Bible Study Leaders through regular one-on-ones and trainings.
  • Oversee communication strategy, logistics, and execution for Bible Studies.
  • Provide resources for women desiring to host evangelistic studies.
  • Collaborate with the Women’s Discipleship Coordinator to ensure a unified Women’s Ministry “pathway” towards maturity.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings with Women’s Ministry and be a voice and key team player there.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Leadership – lead and equip Bible Study Leaders
  • Bible Study Teacher – Gifted in and passion for leading Bible Studies and equipping others.
  • Developer/Equipper- Has a passion to develop and equip others to lead
  • Recruiter- Envision current leaders and help raise up future leaders
  • Discipler- Have a heart for discipleship and know how to equip leaders to be intentional with what they study and have a plan to foster growth, community, and connection to the church.
  • Proactive- Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the table.
  • Team Player- Ability to work with Supervisor, co-workers and ministry leaders to accomplish overall goals while promoting unity.
  • Evangelist- Be equipped and have heart to engage the lost and able to equip others to do the same. (ideal)
  • Work Ethic: Possess a strong willingness to work hard and be self motivated.

Requirements:

  • Seminary Degree Preferred
  • Have taught Bible Studies for 3 years
