Responsibilities
  • Ensure incoming inspections of parts and materials are performed before items are placed in stock or issued for use on aircraft
  • Maintain acceptable inventory of parts
  • Provide proper security for parts inventory
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking and receiving of parts with other department
  • Assure shipping of parts and material is within applicable regulations
  • Ensure proper documentation accompanies all parts and material received and issued for use
  • Ensure the traceability of parts and material is maintained as required by regulations
  • Plan, direct and coordinate the activities, schedules and review of Parts Department personnel
  • Ensure that all parts and components are properly tagged as outlined in this manual
  • Preserve all articles or parts, while carried as inventory, including parts that are subject to deterioration and shelf-life specifications
  • Ensure that all electrostatic sensitive parts are properly protected
  • Control the inventory and ensure that the quarantine areas are kept secure
  • Properly handle all parts during the repair process
  • Identify and handle all hazardous materials and flammable material in an environmentally safe manner
  • Coordinate with the Director of Quality on any issue related to Suspected Unapproved Parts
  • Ensure quarantine and reporting any issues related to any rejected or scrapped/mutilated article
  • Other duties as directed by supervision and management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hazmat Shipping and Receiving Certification preferred
  • Inventory background required
  • Aviation experience preferred
  • Advanced skills and experience in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is required
  • Excellent writing, grammatical, editing and proofreading skills required
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to develop and maintain highly organized work environment, and able to effectively prioritize
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Must have clean driving record and be able to achieve airport SIDA badge
