One Line Job Description:

The Assistant to the Student Ministry Pastor(s) is responsible for increasing the capacity and scope for our Student Ministry Pastor(s) by removing administrative obstacles and working with the Student Ministry Pastor(s) to handle operational duties related to Student’s Ministry to promote the mission and vision of Pantano.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Student Ministry Pastor(s) to be efficient in all areas of their Ministry
  • Represent the Student Ministry Pastor(s) in all communications as directed (email, social media, phone calls, scheduling, etc…) to include managing the Student Ministry Pastor(s) calendar(s)
  • Execute administrative/office needs and reports for the Student Ministry Team 
  • Attend team meetings, take notes and do follow ups, as requested or needed
  • Receive, process and follow up on requests for information or involvement regarding Student Ministry
  • Coordinate details for camps, events, classes, student Groups, and special projects as needed to include advertisement, room reservations, registration, materials, and communication with students, volunteers and church staff
  • Assists the Student Ministry Pastor(s) with Sunday services and Wednesday night Groups as directed 

Other Duties:

  • Prepare required administrative reports and correspondence
  • Prepare monthly credit card expense reports for the Student Ministry Pastor(s)
  • Prepare purchase orders and check requests as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Job Requirements
  •  
  • Active “All In Partner” at Pantano Christian Church
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in online communication, email and calendar tools
  • Experience with database software a plus
  • Ability to work productively without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team members, volunteers, and other staff
