As the Compliance Specialist, you will assist in helping banking and financial institution clients navigate regulatory compliance. The Compliance Specialist performs thorough reviews of financial institution policies and procedures and transaction testing of various functions within institutions. You will plan, organize, and conduct compliance and other consulting procedures to include, but not be limited to transaction testing, policy and procedures reviews, side-by-side fair lending analyses, and loan distribution analyses.

Position Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct compliance and other consulting procedures to include, but not be limited to transaction testing, policy and procedures reviews, side-by-side fair lending analyses, and loan distribution analyses.
• Maintain a strong knowledge and understanding of applicable banking compliance laws and regulations to include, but not be limited to Regulation E (Electronic Fund Transfers), Regulation DD (Truth in Savings), Regulation CC (Expedited Funds Availability), Regulation P (Privacy of Consumer Financial Information), as well as anti-money laundering rules related to the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control, and the USA Patriot Act.
• Present findings in a professional and relatable manner to financial institution personnel both verbally and in writing.
• Provide compliance-related training to clients.
• Develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
• Respond to client questions in a timely manner.
• Represent the Firm at trade association functions.
• Assist in training Firm staff.
• Know and understand the Firm’s policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Education and Experience

• Three or more years of bank/credit union compliance experience
• Understanding of loan compliance rules and regulations
• Knowledge of one or more loan origination system (LOS) platforms
• Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Word
• Experience utilizing CaseWare or Centrax is a plus
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), or similar designation is a plus, but not a requirement
