The Accounting Clerk assists the finance team with a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks; manages the front desk; and supports important ad-hoc financial projects, including our annual audit.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Abila MIP, Concur, and/or Fundriver a plus
  • Museum or cultural nonprofit experience a plus

Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm

  • Enter accounts receivable and payable data on a daily basis
  • Maintain fixed asset support files, including monthly depreciation journal entries
  • Record investment activity in various accounting systems
  • File and assist in the maintenance of electronic and other filing systems
  • Maintain proper documentation and schedules needed to support specific accounting protocols for not-for-profit organizations for donor-restricted funds
  • Process business transactions and maintain all financial records
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
  • Assist with the management of credit card programs and purchase requests through Concur Expense
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor files
  • Front desk duties including greeting guests, distributing daily mail and deliveries, ordering office supplies, and directing visitors and phone calls to the appropriate person
  • Help all team members prepare for meetings and presentations, including printing and copying needed materials
  • Assist on ad-hoc projects
