The Team: 
This role is a part of the Inspection/Solderer team here on the production floor.

The Role: 
The Selective Solder operates the Selective Solder Machine.  The Selective Solder Operator needs to be certified as an Inspector/Solderer. An Inspector/Solderer verifies circuit boards, solder joints, correct component placement and identifies any other possible defects that affects form, fit or function of an electronic assembly.  An Inspector/Solderer also solders components onto the circuit boards following the manufacturing instructions. A Selective Solder Operator spends time on their feet for the majority of the day operating the machine while inspecting and soldering circuit boards. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

You will spend your time:

  • Perform machine operations 
  • Inspecting boards to ensure the various parts were placed securely and correctly
  • Soldering various parts on circuit boards
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstations and equipment
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Complete tasks as designated by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision
  • Perform electrical assembly and sub-assembly processes using hand tools and electronic tools
  • May rotate to various workstations as required
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Parental permission required if under 18 years of age

Physical Demands: 
•    Frequent lifting and moving of lightweight materials (0-10 lbs.) up to 50% of time worked
•    Must be able to lift up to 10-30 pounds, chest height up to 5% of time worked. 
•    Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching and walking
