Golder Ranch Fire District is seeking one (1) Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our community-driven team!  Based upon your experience and current certifications, you may be considered for one of the following positions:

 

Primary Function: The primary function of a Fleet Maintenance Technician is to perform preventative maintenance and repairs of all apparatus and equipment as assigned. This position is under the direct supervision of the Lead Fleet Maintenance Technician.

 

Minimum Requirements for all fleet positions:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license (Class D) with acceptable driving record.
  • Must have basic mechanics tools.

 

Position:  Fleet Maintenance Tech-EVT Apprentice Starting Wage:  $20.95/hr ($43,574/yr)
Safety Sensitive:  Yes Status:  Full-time - 40 hrs/week - non-exempt

 

Minimum Qualifications:  All certifications must be current and maintained

 

     Fleet Maintenance Tech - EVT Apprentice: 

  • One (1) year work experience in automotive field.
  • One (1) year work experience in heavy truck field.

 

Position:  Fleet Maintenance Tech I                     Starting Wage:  $22.42/hr ($46,624/yr) 
Safety Sensitive:  Yes Status:  Full-time 40 hrs/week - non-exempt

 

Minimum Qualifications:  All certifications must be current and maintained

 

 Fleet Maintenance Technician I  

  • Maintain the Fire Apparatus Technician Level I, Ambulance Technician Level I, and EVT Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation Technician Certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks
    • ASE T4,T5, A4, and A5
    • EVT F1, F2, E0, E1, and L1
  • One (1) year work experience in automotive field
  • One (1) year work experience in heavy truck field
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Class B-CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements within one (1) year of appointment to the position   

 

Position:  Fleet Maintenance Tech II                    Starting Wage:  $23.98/hr ($49,888/yr)
Safety Sensitive:  Yes Status:  Full-time 40 hrs/week - non-exempt

 

Minimum Qualifications:  All certifications must be current and maintained

 

   Fleet Maintenance Technician II     

  • Must possess the Fire Apparatus Technician Level I,  Ambulance Technician Level I, and EVT Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation Technician Certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks):
    • ASE T4,T5, A4, and A5
    • EVT F1, F2, E0, E1, and L1
  • Must possess  Fire Apparatus Technician Level II, Ambulance Technician Level II, and EVT Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation Technician Certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks):
    • ASE T2, T3,T6, and A9
    • EVT F3, F4, E2, E3
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Class-B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements with an acceptable driving record.
  • One (1) year work experience in automotive field.
  • Three (3) years work experience in the heavy truck field.
  • Must have personal Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM).

 

Position:  Fleet Maintenance Tech III                     Starting Salary:  $2,110.65/pp estimated ($54,877/yr)
Safety Sensitive:  Yes Status:  Full-time 40 hrs/week - exempt

 

Minimum Qualifications:  All certifications must be current and maintained

     Fleet Maintenance Technician III     

  • Must possess all of the following current certifications as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks)
    • EVT Fire Apparatus Technician Levels I and II
    • Ambulance Technician Levels I and II
    • EVT Law Enforcement Vehicle Installation Technician
  • Must possess Fire Apparatus Technician Level III, Ambulance Technician Level III as outlined by the Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) Certification Commission (evtcc.org/tracks
    1. ASE T1, T2, T7, and A9
    2. EVT F5, F6, E4
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Class-B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements with acceptable driving record.
  • One (1) year work experience in automotive field.
  • One (1) year work experience in the heavy truck field.
  • Must have personal Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM).
