Description

Function Summary:

Delivery of post-machine sales support, to manage inventory of parts. Establishing and monitoring min/max stocking levels, reviewing inventory turns and adjusting levels accordingly. Establishing lists of critical/slow moving parts kept in stock by McLanahan Corporation for special circumstances or specific customers. Reviewing parts usage and/or turns by contracted dealers to help establish their inventory levels. Reviewing current McLanahan Corporation inventory and suggest items that to be scrapped or sold at discounts. Additional duties will include providing post-machine sales support to customers such as receiving, soliciting and processing customer spare/replacement parts inquires and orders. Giving technical assistance for the operation and maintenance of equipment, offering upgrades if applicable for equipment to maximize a machine’s operational longevity and life expectancy of wear components. Support to all internal departments to ensure external customers have accurate information and parts in a timely manner.

Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:          

  1. Follow direction provided by Director Parts and Service or designee.
  2. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required.
  3. Represent Eagle Iron Works/McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
  4. Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  5. Uphold essential functions / key accountabilities of a Parts and Service Representative.
  6. Establish and maintain a process to evaluate inventory on a quarterly basis.
  7. Establish, set and approve pricing of parts.
  8. Analyze, establish and maintain targeted stocking levels for targeted parts.
  9. Attend and actively participates in customer start up; trade shows and other gathering events where industry segment, representatives, customers and prospects are in attendance.
  10. Research and analyze ERP data to formulate thorough inventory suggestions and recommendations based on machine population, historical usage, supply chain, critical requirements, etc.
  11. Actively visit/work with dealers to assess their capability to support end users through parts inventory and service capability.
  12. Work closely with the engineering departments to maintain current parts inventory.
  13. Help establish parts pages, parts lists, manuals, and other supportive documents as needed.
  14. Collaborate with King Manufacturing and Supply Chain to ensure minimum and maximum inventory levels that have been established are being fulfilled.
  15. Maintain an accurate value of inventory to support EIW operations while working with various national locations.
Qualifications

Educational/Other Requirements:

  1. Four year technical degree in, or related field preferred.
  2. Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Mechanical aptitude.
  4. Computer literacy including but not limited to McLanahan ERP system and MS Office applications.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  7. Ability to reach company goals successfully in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication.
