Basic Function: To facilitate banquet food and beverage service to each guest in an expedient, professional and courteous manner. Set-up and teardown of assigned functions

Work Performed:

  1. Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders including start time and menus
  2. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
  3. Uniform must be neat and pressed
  4. Collect all necessary equipment and bring to designated area(s)
  5. Polish all china, glass and silverware
  6. Assist in the set-up of banquet functions
  7. Provide banquet food and beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence
  8. Work efficiently and as a team
  9. Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet Captain
  10. After function, remove and return all equipment to proper storage
  11. Retrieve and store all china, glass and silverware to proper storage
  12. Respond to the Banquet Captains instructions and directions
  13. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management
  15. Report to Banquet Captain before ending work shift
  16. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Must work well with or without direct supervision. Must be able to interpret and follow directions related to BEOs (Banquet Event Orders). Must be neat and well groomed at all times. Needs to be flexible, self motivated, positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management. Must maintain current food handlers certification. Prior serving experience desired. English skills necessary to communicate with guests
