Description

To facilitate beverage service to each guest in an expedient, professional and courteous manner during banquet events

Work Performed:

  1. Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders, including start time and beverage requirements
  2. Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
  3. Uniform must be neat and pressed
  4. Fully knowledgeable in drink recipes
  5. Knowledge of laws of liquor service
  6. Keeps work station clean at all times
  7. Ability to set-up banquet function bar set-ups
  8. Collect all necessary equipment, beverages, etc. to set up designated area
  9. Polish all glassware and prepare needed bar fruit
  10. Provide beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence
  11. After function, remove inventory and all beverage equipment to proper storage
  12. Retrieve and store bar glassware to proper storage
  13. Work effectively and efficiently with the banquet team
  14. Expediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet Captain
  15. Respond to the Banquet Captain’s instructions and directions
  16. Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management
  18. Report to Banquet Captain before ending work shift
  19. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Must work well with or without direct supervision. Must be able to interpret and follow directions related to BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders). Must be neat and well groomed at all times. Needs to be flexible, self motivated, positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management. Must maintain current food handler’s certification. Prior bartending and serving experience desired. English skills necessary to communicate with guests. Computer skills helpful. Knowledge of liquor laws
