The Systems Engineer Implementation Focused will provide input on design and implementation for a wide array of solutions to our active and prospective customers. This position will focus primarily on implementing Datacenter solutions such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, along with security, VDI, compute, storage, and backup solutions. Our ideal candidate has a strong technical aptitude and can think under pressure in a fast-moving environment. This Engineer will join a dynamic team within the Systems department to help design and implement solutions for our clients.


  • Implement solutions based on physical and virtual environments built on Microsoft, and VMware technologies
  • Implement virtual desktop (VDI) solutions based on Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware technologies
  • Implement Microsoft related infrastructure technologies: Windows Server, Active directory, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Implement local and cloud-based backup and disaster recovery solutions
  • Deploy hardware solutions including compute, storage, and hyperconverged systems
  • Test, troubleshoot and work independently to resolve customer issues or problems
  • System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
  • Deploy secure Microsoft cloud solutions on Azure and Office 365 platforms
  • Integrate third party connections to Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Implement hybrid migration to Exchange Online in complex environments
  • Implement migrations to and from Exchange Online from source Exchange environments
  • Implement Office 365 and Azure eco system authentication infrastructure including Azure AD, ADFS and EMS
  • Test, troubleshoot and work independently to resolve customer issues or problems
  • Implement security offerings including but not limited to Multifactor Authentication, Data Loss Prevention, Intune/MDM, and Conditional Access policies
  • Provide advanced support and assist in maintaining customer technology deployments


  • Provide high-level of customer service, perception, and satisfaction with customers and team members
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate timely and effectively to all key stakeholders including Project Managers, Customers, Management, etc.
  • Assist less experienced members of the team address issues, and escalate service issues to our vendors that cannot be resolved internally
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as they occur
  • Work through a daily schedule that has been established through the dispatch process
  • Enter all work as service tickets in ConnectWise to ensure an accurate accounting of your time
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Previous work as a systems or sales engineer and have a clear methodology for performing requirements gathering, analyzing business requirements, and tailoring a custom product and solutions
  • Understanding of computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging technology trends
  • Presentation skills to present technical information comfortably to customers and other team members
  • Ability to complete industry training and certification as required by the company
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • 5-10 years of experience with Systems Solutions design and operations
  • 5 years of engineering experience with cloud, compute, virtualization, storage or other technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent related experience
