The Creative Associate Director will oversee, develop, and produce PVAs creative work including collateral, awards; digital; event materials; signage; videography; photography; DRTV, OTT and radio advertising; publications; merchandise; and TV, radio, and OOH PSAs. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of industry trends and creative tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite. Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions, such as graphic designer, videographer, and photographer. Its essential the Creative AD has stellar communication, presentation, problem-solving and project-management skills, too. PVAs Creative AD must have elevated soft skills that enable them to inspire creativity and work well with different personality types all while juggling various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise existing Graphic Designer; will also be responsible for significant design work of their own
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage creative teams daily workflow, project workload, and monitor deadlines
  • Manage the creative process from concept to completion
  • Review work, troubleshoot, and provide feedback to graphic designer, temps, and agency
  • Shape brand standards and create processes to ensure all products are brand-appropriate
  • Ensures marketing and communications materials adhere to the organizations brand and overall vision
  • Evaluate trends, assess new data, and keep up-to-date with the latest marketing techniques
  • Remain actively involved in training creative staff as well as hiring temps and using vendors to meet the needs of PVA

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in art, graphic design, media, or other relevant fields or equivalent experience
  • Must have an innovative mindset that inspires the development of new and exciting ideas for visual marketing and communications materials and campaigns
  • Have in-depth knowledge of brand development and management as well as multichannel marketing campaigns
  • Understands the difference between Creative for branding, marketing, and fundraising
  • Ability to meet deadlines with quality product
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker
  • Brilliant Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Passion for Veterans issues and/or disability civil rights
  • Supervisory experience necessary
  • Excellent Oral/Written Skills
  • Knowledge in a specific software(s) such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • 15% Travel required
  • Does not need to have experience developing creativity for Military or Veteran clients, companies, and/or organizations, but it will be helpful to have for the role.
