Description

SUMMARY: To provide complete food service to conferences and banquet guests by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comprehend and understand Banquet Event Orders
  • Set tables and food display for function as needed
  • Serve meal using proper service etiquette
  • Buss tables and bring items to dish situations
  • Maintain banquet service areas
  • Perform side work as required, fold napkins, fill shakers, clean signs etc.
  • Observe diners to respond to any additional requests
  • Attend departmental meeting
  • Assist all other personnel in setting and clearing rooms for upcoming events.
  • Ensure all services to members are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail.
  • Support safe work habits and contributes to a safe working environment at all times.
  • Follow directions, take criticism, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors and Members and their guests with respect and courtesy, contribute to a positive and rewarding team environment and refrains from abusive, insubordinate and/or violent behavior
  • Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Listed below are the qualifications that represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability to perform this job successfully:

  • Must be reliable, responsible and able to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must meet legal age requirements for the position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years related experience.
  • Resort and/or hospitality experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equal to a GED.
