Function Summary:

The position will be responsible to ensure inventory at their facility is maintaining a 99% inventory accuracy through a defined cycle count program. The position will also support the Warehouse  on ensuring daily warehouse operations and goals at their facility are being met by all team members.

Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:          

  1. Follow direction provided by Manager.
  2. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan/EIW equipment as required.
  3. Represent McLanahan Corporation/EIW in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
  4. Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  5. Demonstrate and provide a 1st class or better level of support for daily warehouse and shipping operations to ensure deliveries are on time and packed accurately.
  6. Support efforts to maintain an accurate inventory at the facilities stocking locations through a defined cycle count program and monitoring of daily transactions and plant to plant transfers.
  7. Partner with Manager to ensure warehouse team members are meeting daily operational goals and ensuring the work areas are safe and organized according to McLanahan 5S standards.
  8. Participate in the daily order fulfillment processes (pick, pack, shipping, receiving) when needed.
  9. Provide leadership and guidance to both internal and external customers that contact the warehouse for information regarding shipments and inventory.

Educational/Other Requirements:

  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Minimum five (5) years of related work experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  3. Prior Forklift experience, preferred certified forklift operator.
  4. Prior experience using an ERP system, preferably Epicor.
  5. Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills, with a demonstrated history.
  6. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing concepts and demonstrated experience implementing the concepts in a production environment.
  7. Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  10. Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically and internationally. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication. Ability to frequently maneuver (carry, lift, move, etc…) 50 pounds.
