Colleagues would describe you as highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable with a strong bias for action and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. GO Project is currently searching for an Accounting & Finance Manager who is based in the Greater Kansas City Area who can work full-time from our office with our broader team.  

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Accounting:
    • General ledger maintenance including chart of accounts and integration with other systems of record.
    • Reconciliation and consolidation of inter-company / international accounts
    • Journal entry preparation and review for payroll, benefits, time & expenses, commissions, cash, fixed assets, inventory, etc.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Financial statement preparation and analysis, ensuring statements are prepared timely, accurately and in accordance with GAAP.
    • Assists with information gathering and preparation for routine audits, examinations, and compliance reporting.
  • Budgeting:
    • Partner in the annual fiscal budgeting process for GO from generating reports to maintaining budgeting in the financial systems.
    • Report accurate results vs. established budgets and forecasts monthly.
    • Assist in investigating, analyzing, and reporting on budget to actual variances.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Assist in preparation of the cash flow budget and projections for all segments.
    • Manage accounts receivable from invoice preparation, receivables aging, and reconciliations.
    • Establish weekly payables schedule.
    • Prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Compensation for this position is between $45,000 - $60,000 per year, commiserate with relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years related accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector not required, but very helpful!
  • A strong desire to learn and grow with our organization with a commitment to continuous improvement personally and in processes oversee.
  • Highly analytical with robust problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral mediums with associates at all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Salesforce, and an expense management applications.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.
