JOB SUMMARY:

Software Developer III is a Full Stack Developer with knowledge in .NET, C#, Angular, Azure, JavaScript, MVVM, ORM and SQL. This role requires excellent technology and communication skills, participate in requirement gathering, requirement detailed design, UI design, coding and testing software using Microsoft technologies.  The Software Developer III will design/develop new applications as well as support existing applications to meet EMS’ quality standards.  It is critical for this position to understand business/client needs.

Essential Functions

• Designing and implementing high-performance code for new UI components in an Agile development environment
• Finding ways to innovate and improve usability, providing additional benefits to customers while reducing complexity
• Staying up to date on the latest trends in web development
• Helping to define User Stories and the visual design of a new UI
• Investigating and troubleshooting data and user related system errors
• Participating in code reviews, automated test creation, and manual testing when needed

Secondary Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining software documentation
• Creating and utilizing .NET web services (WCF) or REST services
• Provide help to customers and customer support team, this may include support beyond typical business hours and include communication with business users
• Test and evaluate new and emerging technologies and provide solutions for implementation

Skills

• .NET, Azure, WPF, XAML, JavaScript, MVVM, .NET Core, Angular, and CSS
• Efficiency with database design, ORM (preferably Entity Framework) and SQL Server
• A good understanding of design patterns and N-Tier architecture
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Good understanding of MVVM pattern

Education and Experience

• BS in Computer Science
• 9 years or more of experience in .NET development with C#, Angular, EF and Rest
• 5 years or more of experience in modern web based front-end development and web service development (C#, JavaScript, REST/WCF, MVVM, Angular, HTML5)
• Strong experience in Microsoft technologies, Azure, databases, and open-source software
• Experience using TFS
• .NET Core experience is strongly preferred
• Working experience with IIS and REST web services
• Experience using Test Complete or any other automated testing tool Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft .NET web and desktop technologies
• Audio/Video processing concepts and hardware integration is a plus
• WPF or Win Forms application development experience is a plus.
