The Team:
Our Production Engineering Team is tasked with supporting all functions of daily operation within the factory, as well as provides support to our External Operations teams.

The Role:
This position entails working directly with Manufacturing Engineering and production to design and maintain the manufacturing process for fabrication of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.  This position also provides a higher level of support for equipment performance, including process development and maintenance.  The position is also depended on for mentoring peers in maintenance, process, and production.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Research, justify, and propose the procurement of services and equipment.

  • Develop and improve process efficiencies for continuous improvement

  • Mentor coworkers who require knowledge associated with machine learning and other training as needed

  • Program computer-controlled assembly, soldering and inspection equipment

  • Create thermal profiles for soldering processes

  • Work to reduce cost and scrap

  • Troubleshoot production equipment and parameters utilizing schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints as a guide

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment

  • Coordinate specialty projects as assigned

  • Installing new equipment, verifying set up and operation using appropriate procedures

  • Create and/or update standard Work Instructions for equipment, and processes as needed

  • Providing support as required for Production and Engineering

  • Collaborate with production leadership on process improvements and production floor layouts

  • Using cause analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Participates in continuous improvement activities

  • Complies and follows all company safety policies and procedures

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 Qualifications include but not limited to:

  • 5 years of experience working in manufacturing preferred

  • Experience in circuit board assembly preferred 

  • 2-year Technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of productivity tools, examples may include Microsoft Office and quality management software 

  • Ability to use hand/power tools

  • Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professional and respectful communication to others

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective organization and prioritization skills

  • Demonstrate high attention to detail

  • Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools

  • The ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotating schedule if needed

 Travel:

  • This position may require travel between the RiverSide Lewiston and Winona facilities.

  • Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling

  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing production floor and Office setting
