The Forensic & Litigation Department of a progressive accounting firm is seeking a professional, dynamic, and energetic individual to contribute to the success of the Forensic and Litigation (FLS) practice.


The individual selected for this position must have an entrepreneurial drive and spirit and the ability to add value to the firm beyond the strict definition of the position. The successful candidate must have the ability to assume responsibility, support complex FLS engagements, and instill confidence and trust in clients and referral sources.


Specific duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


Position Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and analyze data to efficiently achieve the objectives of a given FLS assignment
  • Analyze and review financial statements and business records
  • Conduct research and analyze industry and economic conditions
  • Prepare and deliver complete and accurate reports that present the conclusions of the FLS project in an understandable manner and consistent with applicable professional standards and governing law
  • Serve as an active participant in practice development by writing articles, drafting blog postings for the group, making presentations locally, etc.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Career-oriented self-starter with the desire to build client relationships
  • Demonstrated commitment to results and attention to detail
  • Ability to critically assess a situation and think with creativity and originality
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate with clarity


Education and Experience

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and/or related field from an accredited college/university required; Master’s degree a plus
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • 0-2 years of FLS and/or public accounting experience
  • ABV, CFF, ASA, and/or CVA credentials a plus
