Summary of Position

This position exists primarily to train and equip Summit College staff and Student Leaders to effectively disciple college students on minority campuses.  This position will help equip staff to reach minorities on other major university campuses through casting vision, developing curriculum/resources, and coaching staff.


In addition, this position will specifically direct the overall movement of Summit College and the Go Now Initiative, leading large group gatherings like SC United and the retreats, and shepherding the Summit College staff.

  • A member or willing and able to become a member of The Summit Church



  • Campus Director for NC Central

    • Lead the NC Central staff team through weekly meetings, overseeing movement, and personal disciple making


  • Help start a movement on new HBCU campuses in next 3 years

    • Map which campuses are in RDU area and a plan to have a presence on each in the next 3 years


  • Help each Summit College campus reach out to African American students

    • Train staff and student leaders on reaching minorities on their campus


  • Write curriculum

    • Write specific curriculum for minorities campuses – Foundations, Evangelism resources

    • Help write Family Group, Dgroup, and training resources for all of Summit College


  • Model Support Raising for Minorities

  • Learn from other ministries around the country effectively reaching minorities


Joint Responsibilities w/Director Team:

  • Partner in developing the direction of Summit College

    • Training and shepherding of SC Staff and Campus Directors during Fall Training in August, Fall Evaluation in December, Winter/Spring Training in January and Summer Projects Training in May

    • Planning and evaluating strengths, weaknesses and next steps for Summit College

    • Participating in Director Team meetings


  • Partner in Planning, Facilitating, and Leading Large College Gatherings

    • SC United

    • College Conference

    • SLTeam Gatherings


  • Partnering in developing Go Now Projects Vision and Direction

    • Researching new locations for SummitCollege

    • Evaluating our effectiveness in recruitment of students

    • Training and equipping staff to recruit, lead, and capitalize during summer projects
