  1. Job Title:                                           Room Attendant

Non-Exempt – Part Time

  1. Department:                                    Housekeeping
  2. Scope of Responsibility:                To provide housekeeping service to our guests.
  3. Employee Manual:                         Employees must completely understand the requirements of the position.  Prior to being assigned to any position, a complete understanding of the Employee Manual is necessary since the as employees will be expected to comply with rules and identified in the manual.
  4. Essential Functions:
    1. All Wilson Representatives are responsible for taking care of people – first. People come before processes. We have the highest professional standards during all communications with our guests.

    4. Remove all linen and terry from guest room checkouts.
    5. Replace linen and terry and needed or assigned on stayover rooms.
    6. Vacuum carpets daily.
    7. Clean bathrooms thoroughly, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing toilet and shower.
    8. Dust all furniture and fixtures including headboards, mirrors, picture frames, streamlines, televisions, tables, etc.
    9. Have complete understanding of the proper layout of the furniture and amenities in each room type.
    10. Be accountable for the guest’s belongings left in the room. Any found items must be turned in immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor, Inspector or Manager on Duty.
    11. Be aware of any suspicious activities or persons. Report such activity immediately to your supervisor or the General Manager.
    12. Report maintenance items to the front desk as they are observed.
    13. Turn in keys left in guest rooms to the front desk.
    14. Watch for message lights in checkout rooms and clear as needed.
    15. When working inside a guest room, pull your cart in front of the door to the room, making sure that it is not blocking the hallway. If someone tries to enter the room while you are working, ask to see their key packet with room number or direct them to the front desk if they do not have it. Report any problems to the housekeeping supervisor or General Manager. If asked to get in their room, you must confirm name and reservation with front desk.
    16. Follow all departmental rules and procedures in doing your job.
    17. Maintain assigned equipment. Report any problems with your equipment to your supervisor or maintenance immediately.
    18. Be aware of and follow all safety rules and use caution in doing the job.
    19. Vacuum hallways near and around assigned guest rooms
    20. Other duties as assigned
