Are you passionate about transforming math education? MIND Research Institute is seeking a Project Manager to participate in the creation and launch of new products and features that help our organization and our school partners achieve our mission. We are the creators of ST Math, a breakthrough approach to learning mathematics using spatial temporal models embedded into interactive puzzles based on neuroscience and the way the brain learns. In this role you will help chart the future of our ST Math product line by ensuring that new products and features reach our students and educators as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your responsibility is to successfully bring projects to completion within the agreed budget, time, and quality one project at a time.

You will work with the Product Development and Go-To-Market Teams to launch new products and versions of ST Math by:
  • Developing project timelines around the product vision
    • Leading project planning sessions
    • Planning project timelines
    • Breaking down large initiatives into tasks
    • Documenting and communicating project plans
  • Planning and resource scheduling
    • Partner with stakeholders to allocate resources to the project
    • Coordinating staff and internal resources
    • Leading discussions around time-budget-quality management
  • Executing the project and overcoming challenges
    • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
    • Ensure the project team has everything they need
    • Monitoring and tracking task completion
    • Leading project status meetings
    • Communicating progress to stakeholders
    • Overseeing project documentation
  • Risk and issue management
    • Minimizing potential risks that might delay the project completion
    • Developing risk mitigation plans
Perform additional related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
Our ideal candidate has:
  • A passion and desire for MINDs mission, ST Math and our approach to math education.
  • Excellent planning skills including being able to think about the forest AND the trees
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven track record of delivering projects according to schedule
  • Demonstrated writing capacity to translate complex/technical ideas to varied audiences.
  • Outstanding presentation and oral communication skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • 5+ years of experience managing product development & launch projects

This position will report to the VP-Product and can be based anywhere in the United States, as long as you don't mind turning on your webcam to build a rapport, even from a distance. You may also have to take a trip to sunny Southern California 1-2x a year (when it is safe to do so).
