Job Description

 

 

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the information and processing needs of departments company-wide
  • Facilitating identification and resolution of day-to-day business challenges
  • Facilitating the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders
  • Identifying and documenting the current and future state business processes
  • Helping the business stakeholders envision the future and how their work will need to change to support the future
  • Creating, analyzing and validating detailed functional specifications
  • Facilitating design sessions with the implementation team to define solutions
  • Delivering elements of systems design, including data migration rules, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables
  • Design and development of ad hoc reports in response to user/department information/processing needs

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with preferred major in Computer Science or Management Information Systems

Experience:                                                                     

  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working and performing activities in a business analyst role.
  • Experience working with large data sets, identifying and resolving data issues and finding commonalities between disparate data sources.   
  • End-User training experience
  • Facts finding meeting facilitation and coordination
  • Data mining/analysis using Excel, SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Access, etc.)
  • Microsoft Project experience a plus
